I would add that the same logic and morality requires an end to: (1) the second class status of Israeli Arabs, particularly when it comes to the vote; (2) state-sanctioned conversion of Arab land in Jerusalem; (3) use of gigantic walls to partition Palestinian villages and farms in the West Bank; (4) denial of basic necessities and economic trade to the Palestinians, especially in the West Bank.

If you ever want to know what is wrong with the public education system, watch the first 10 minutes of this show and see the massive negativity exhibited by the school administrators toward Tony Danza. They berated him about trivial sign-in procedures, told him how dubious they were about his desire to teach and threatened him with expulsion if, in their divine judgment, he wasn’t delivering what they thought “their kids” needed. Watching these arrogant, demeaning displays of bureaucratic power, I found myself thinking that it is no wonder that no one with any talent or desire wants to teach in public schools. Why would you when the first thing you encounter on the first day is an administrator and a principal whose sole objective is to try to tear you down?!
